Taxi to Amsterdam

Business Amsterdam is close to us. The Zuidas and the RAI are short journeys from Amstelveen, and Amsterdam Central is a regular destination. We drive to every part of the city: Centrum, Zuid, Oost, West, Noord, Nieuw-West, Zuidoost and IJburg.

In the city the difference is not the distance but the time. The same journey through the centre can take twice as long on a Friday afternoon as it does on a Sunday morning, and on a meter that adds up quickly. That is why we agree one amount for the whole car before you leave: if we are held up on the Stadhouderskade, that is our problem rather than yours.

Popular destinations are the Zuidas around Gustav Mahlerplein, Amsterdam RAI at Europaplein, the AMC on Meibergdreef, VUmc on De Boelelaan, Leidseplein and Amsterdam Central. You can give those by name when you book; there is no need to look up the street address.

For journeys between Amsterdam and Schiphol we have a fixed fare per part of the city, simply because some are a shorter drive than others. The full list, including the return fare, is on the fares page.

Frequently asked questions

Does a journey through Amsterdam cost more in the rush hour?

Not if you book in advance. You get one amount for the whole car and it stays the same, even if the traffic comes to a standstill. If we drive on the meter, waiting time does count — which is exactly why booking ahead usually works out better.

Can I give a destination by name, such as the RAI or the AMC?

Yes. Well-known destinations such as Amsterdam RAI, the AMC, VUmc, the Zuidas, Leidseplein and Amsterdam Central are recognised by name when we work out your price. You do not need to look up the street address.
